Welcome to the home of Bird's Eye Photography where I offer you a chance to view and purchase some of the best local sports talent here in Vancouver and the lower mainland of B.C. through my assorted lenses.

Updated continually you will currently find new and exciting sports photos, specializing in amateur sports including those of box lacrosse, field lacrosse, football, hockey and more.

This year the Vancouver Mainland Football League has expanded into a Spring Flag league consisting of several of the associations participating in U13, U15 and U17 divisions. Over the last few weeks the teams participated in exhibition weekend games in order to prepare for the BC Provincials that took place recently. I was able to pack up my stuff and head to Kelown where during a weekend of sun and fun captured as many of the games as possible. The action was as hot as the weather with a couple of the final games going into shootouts to determine the winners.

Spring time and good weather gives us baseball and this year I ventured out to South Surrey to capture some girls fastpitch featuring the Renegades ball team. The weather was perfect and access to various camera angles were good. With time I will learn the best places to grab the real action as these girls battle hard on the diamond.

As the sun continues to shine outside the arenas in the lower mainlandhave taken out the ice and the box lacrosse season has started. The annual Ball Breaker is the launch of the BC Junior A lacrosse league pre-season and the local Langley Thunder were captured recently as they went on to win both of their exhibition games.

This year I have become the official photographer of the B.C. Junior 'A' Lacrosse League so there will be weekly updates as I cover not just the 'Game Of The Week' but many others from around the league.

Every spring the elite community football players from both the Valley Community Football League as well as the Vancouver Mainland Football League gather to put on a terrific display of talent in the annual Starbowl game, held this year out in Chilliwack.

This year the VMFL took back the coveted trophy in the Bantam division in a wild back and forth gun slinging match which wasn't decided until the dying minutes of play. In the Midget division the VCFL came out strong dominating the first quarter before Vancouver stormed back to win and retain the championship for another year.
